Refugee & Immigrant Services Volunteer Opportunities

CCDSD welcomes the stranger by providing legal representation, educational workshops, and refugee resettlement case management. Share the journey with immigrants and refugees by becoming a mentor to a newly arrived family. Help prepare educational resources or provide pro-bono legal services.

MENTOR A NEWLY ARRIVED FAMILY

Welcome a family to San Diego through your support and mentorship. Assist with public transportation navigation, appointments, neighborhood resources, and ESL practice.

CASE MANAGER ASSISTANT

Have a passion for welcoming the stranger? Gain first-hand knowledge of the immigrant experience and perspective of the larger social justice response within our community by becoming a Case Manager Assistant for our Immigration Services team. Case Manager Assistants will help to provide direct and indirect services to clients receiving legal assistance through Catholic Charities.

REFUGEE SERVICES ASSISTANT

Refugee Services Assistants help individuals recently arrived to San Diego as they adjust to not only a new city, but an entirely new way of life. Volunteers will work closely with case managers to support families during their transition.
