Cardinal McElroy

Compassionate Shepherd Award & Recognition Event

Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego cordially invites you to join us in honoring His Eminence Robert Cardinal McElroy and to award him the inaugural Compassionate Shepherd Award.

The Compassionate Shepherd Award is being instituted by Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego to recognize exemplary leaders who personify the servant-leadership that our Lord Jesus Christ showed us through His life and His calling to us to be Good Samaritans and to follow His Matthew 25 mandate.

We are also taking this opportunity to thank His Eminence Cardinal McElroy for being an exemplary steward and shepherd as the Bishop of San Diego. As its Archbishop, we wish him the best as he moves to Washington, D.C.
