LET'S FEED FORWARD
The recent government shutdown has severely strained food banks, reducing aid and supplies just as demand surges. Your donation to the Emergency Food Distribution Network Plus Program will help restock shelves, secure vital deliveries, and ensure no family goes hungry during this critical time.
Empty Shelves, Growing Need
The recent government shutdown has placed exceptional strain on food banks, making it even harder to ensure every family has access to the nourishment they need. Our food banks are facing unprecedented challenges. Federal aid, including USDA food assistance and SNAP benefits, has been sharply reduced. These cuts have led to cancellations of government commodity deliveries and significantly decreased food availability. The shutdown has also disrupted supply chains, making it difficult to source enough groceries and staples for families in need. As a result, local grocery store donations have diminished, further limiting resources for those who depend on us.
The consequences of these changes are felt deeply by both food banks and the clients we serve. Demand for emergency food assistance has surged as more community members struggle to make ends meet. Meanwhile, our shelves are emptier than ever. We are stretched thin, working tirelessly to provide what we can, but the strain on our resources is severe. Without immediate support, we risk turning away families who need our help the most.
Now, more than ever, we need your generosity. Your donation will directly support our efforts to restock supplies, secure vital food deliveries, and meet the increased demand during this critical season. Every contribution helps us bridge the gap left by government cuts and supply disruptions, ensuring that no neighbor goes hungry this holiday season.
