CalFresh Healthy Living (formerly SNAP-Ed) supports healthy and active lifestyles by teaching individuals and families in San Diego and Imperial Counties about good nutrition, leveraging CalFresh benefits, and being physically active. Our program is passionate about making the healthy choice, the easy choice in our communities.

Provides short-term emergency shelter and case management to homeless men, day laborers and farmworkers.

Homeless Women’s Services

A broad range of services for homeless women in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Services include a drop-in center, night shelter, independent living and affordable housing. This holistic approach assists homeless women in moving from homelessness to shelter to permanent housing.

Refugee Services

Assists newly arrived refugees and asylees to achieve integration and self-sufficiency by offering cash assistance, cultural orientation, case management, employment services and other assistance. Only agency in California awarded five consecutive competitive demonstration projects by the federal government to test private-sector alternatives to welfare for refugees (continuous since 1990). Only resettlement agency in the Catholic Charities network awarded the Department of State’s highest ranking, Commendable, in two consecutive tri-annual evaluations.

Fosters family reunification, economic empowerment, and social integration by providing low-cost, high quality services that enable eligible immigrants and refugees to obtain legal immigrant or citizenship status. Accredited by the Department of Homeland Security.

Foster Grandparents

Provides unique opportunities for seniors age 55+ to give back to their communities through service that includes mentoring and tutoring special needs children/youth and those who are struggling academically.

Senior Nutrition

Serves the community by offering a variety of household items, clothing and furniture at economical prices. All merchandise is donated and the sales proceeds help support the Food Resource Center.
