Strategic planning process
Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego undertook a 14-month strategic planning process in 2024-25.
The process was divided into two phases. The first phase was devoted to data gathering, seeking input from the community, staff, board members, and the Diaconate community. The second phase was devoted to analysis, prioritization of strategies, and plan creation.
Phase 1: Data Gathering and Assembling community need

strategic priorities supported by several objectives emerged:

Founded in 1919, the role of Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego (CCDSD) has been to serve those in need, witness to the scriptural values of mercy and justice, and advocate for the poor and vulnerable. CCDSD serves both San Diego County and Imperial County, and its core services are Community Services, Refugee and Immigrant Services, and Homeless Services.
